Important Player Updates That Will Affect Your Fantasy Baseball Draft

It happens to someone every year on fantasy baseball draft day.

Player X starts to fall below his average draft position. He keeps sliding down the round and into your lap. You shake your head in disbelief. Player X fell this far? I’m about to select the steal of the draft! You already hear league mates moan with disgust as you snipe away such a good draft day value.

2011 MLB Draft Scouting Report: Gerrit Cole, RHP, UCLA

If you have to pick a top pitcher heading into the 2011 MLB Draft, Gerrit Cole would be your go-to guy.

MLB: Randy Johnson, Sandy Koufax, and the Ten Greatest Left-Handers in History!

There have been many accomplished hurlers in the history of Major League baseball—many of whom threw from the right.

There have not, however, been quite as many great left-handers in the history of the sport.

In the ensuing list, I will attempt to rank whom I think are the 10 greatest in history, with respect to eras, longevity, legend, and shear greatness.

Before we get going, I'd like to name a few who did not make the cut.

Honorable Mentions:

MLB Power Rankings: The Worst Trades in Each Team's History

The Hot Stove season has just about cooled off.

There were plenty of high-profile moves: Zack Greinke to Milwaukee, Cliff Lee to Philadelphia, Jayson Werth to Washington.

Only time will tell if those moves were great, lukewarm or horrible.

That has us thinking about the worst acquisitions in the history of each team.

You’ll cringe when remembering these acquisitions, but at least you can take comfort in the fact that the other 29 MLB clubs have made just as depressing moves.
