New York Yankees: Top Seven Things Fans Don't Understand Right Now

The New York Yankees lost a heart-breaker to the Texas Rangers in the 10th inning, final score 4-3.

It’s no big secret that the Yankees are losing, winning only 4 of last 11 games and falling fast.

The Bombers first place lead is dwindling down, now just a half-a-game over the Tampa Bay Rays. The Boston Red Sox are playing catch-up sitting at five games back and also making the AL East a three-team event again.

These rankings are based on a 300 point system, 150 for offensive production, and 150 for pitching production. 30 points (one point for each team) is the most points any team can receive in a given category. For instance, if the Rays lead the league in HR’s they will get 30 points for that category.

HRs, RBI, Runs, Average, and SBs

Wins, Saves, WHIP, ERA, and Ks

In baseball there are some players who were born to be great at baseball, and there are some pitchers who were born to pitch deep into games.

In this list I will rank the top 10 innings eaters in baseball this season. This is mostly based on innings pitched and success.

Ranking Toronto Blue Jays Brandon Morrow's One-Hitter

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Brandon Morrow pitched a one-hit shutout against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday afternoon. Though Morrow did not complete the no hitter, some would say that his pitching performance is better than most of the perfect games and no hitters this season.

Morrow struck out 17 Rays batters and only allowed four total base runners: two walks, one error and the one hit from Evan Longoria that broke up the bid for the no hitter with two outs in the ninth.
