Opening day and has come and gone, and while it’s clear guys like Jason Heyward will make a fantasy impact this season, it’s also important to keep an eye on the lesser-known sleeper candidates. With that in mind, I present to you the Fantasy Baseball Insiders’ 2010 All-Breakout Team!

With last night's thriller between the Red Sox and Yankees, and a day chalk full of baseball action, the 2010 MLB season is officially here. All over the country, baseball players are hoping for hall of fame years and fans are dreaming of runs into late October. The beauty of opening day is the equality it provides for players and fans alike, a calm before the storm of a long and arduous season. This calm, however, has officially been broken.

It's Opening Day for 26 teams around Major League Baseball. Among those teams with players lacing up their cleats for the first time this season is the New York Mets.

More than 40,000 fans showed up at Citi Field to usher in the 2010 campaign against the NL East rival Florida Marlins.

New York came into the season with muted expectations but with a point to prove.

Baseball is beloved for more than the action on the field. It is a game where malapropisms are frequently used to describe the action taking place between players.

There are expressions, superstitions, and folklore that are ingrained into the national past time's psyche.

We know many of the expressions used, even if we do not know what they really mean.

One of the most renowned baseball legends is Yogi Berra. His malapropisms are so vast, it has made for several books.

It seems pre-ordained. It seems like only a matter of time before pitcher Casey Kelly develops into a star. When the Red Sox talk trade with other major league clubs, opposing GMs ask Theo Epstein to include the 20-year-old right-hander in the deal. Epstein declines and declares Kelly untouchable. He and Ryan Westmoreland appear to be the ONLY prospects who cannot be had in a deal. Period.

The Houston Astros will take the field for their first game of the 2010 season on Monday, April 5 against the San Francisco Giants at 6:05 p.m.

The Astros dropped their final spring training game 13-6 to the Toronto Blue Jays at Minute Maid Park on Saturday, completing spring training with a 13-15 record.

Now keep in mind, this list is a list of the best careers, so far. It is not a list of the best right now. This needs to be kept in mind while reading this list; I’m talking about the best careers, not the best 2009 seasons.

Some argue that the position of relief pitcher is an unimportant position. I disagree.

The 2010 Rays are being touted as the most talented team in team history. Players like Evan Longoria, Carl Crawford, Jason Bartlett, and Carlos Pena head the list. But there are other players who are on the cusp of getting the same name recognition.
