A day after Texas Rangers veteran Adrian Beltre hit his 400th career home run, another star joined the elite club of sluggers.

In the top of the first inning against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday, Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera launched a ball toward center field. Despite the pouring rain, the ball sailed out of play for Cabrera's 400th career home run.

After hitting two home runs against the Atlanta Braves on Friday, the Miami Marlins slugger crushed another on Saturday. In the bottom of the third inning, Stanton crushed a no-doubt home run to center field.

Perhaps even more impressive was the Marlins fan in the second deck who made a great barehanded catch.

Conventional wisdom might say that the heart of the order comprises the 3-4-5 spots in a lineup. Pssshhh. Recent statistical evidence has shown that teams are better off batting their best hitter—or at least better, more well-rounded hitters—in the No. 2 spot.

For the likes of Clayton Kershaw and Andrew McCutchen, it's still much too early to hit the panic button.

While Kershaw and McCutchen are the most prominent players to tumble into a slump, there are also starting rotations, batting orders and even entire squads that have yet to find their way.

The Oakland Athletics bolstered their bullpen Saturday with the addition of right-handed pitcher Edward Mujica via a trade with the Boston Red Sox. 

The Athletics official Twitter account noted that Oakland gave up cash considerations and a player to be named later to acquire Mujica.
