When we last saw them in the regular season, Major League Baseball's six divisions were nice and orderly. A place for every team, every team in its place.

But then the offseason happened.

As you might have noticed, things have been bonkers. We're not even halfway through December, and the free-agent market's shelves are approaching empty and the trade market has produced enough high-profile deals for two offseasons.

A case can be made that the New York Mets possess the best collection of young pitching in the major leagues, with a projected 2015 starting rotation that includes right-handers Matt Harvey, Zack Wheeler and National League Rookie of the Year Jacob deGrom.

Plus, it shouldn’t be long until they’re joined by a host of other young arms, too, as prospects Noah Syndergaard and Steven Matz both are close to being ready for The Show.

Just because Major League Baseball's busy-as-all-get-out winter meetings are in the rearview mirror doesn't mean the hot stove has to cool down any time soon.

Having been over the winners and losers of the busiest four days baseball has had in quite some time, it's time to turn attention toward what still might happen next.

Did anything happen at the MLB winter meetings that could impact 2015 fantasy baseball leagues?

I don’t know, it seemed like a pretty slow week in San Diego. Besides Jeff Samardzija, Brandon Moss, Howie Kendrick, Jimmy Rollins, Dee Gordon, Andrew Heaney (twice!), Antonio Bastardo, Mat Latos, Rick Porcello, Yoenis Cespedes, Miguel Montero, Alfredo Simon and Matt Kemp, nearly everyone stayed put during the yearly summoning of general managers.

With an array of talented pitchers eligible for free agency next season, the Cincinnati Reds—unlikely to re-sign them all—are a logical trade partner for teams looking to improve their staff.     

Unsurprisingly, Johnny Cueto, the man at the top of Cincy's rotation, is the most desirable. Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal has the newest rumor: 

As Day 2 of the 2014 Major League Baseball winter meetings winds down in San Diego, rumors are swirling like so many late-autumn leaves.

The fate of Jon Lester, arguably the biggest prize in a rich free-agent pitching market, remains in the air as of this writing. And there's plenty of other innuendo and scuttlebutt (gotta love those "well-placed sources" and "people familiar with the team's thinking") to go around.

With executives from all 30 Major League Baseball teams in San Diego for the winter meetings, eye-opening names were bound to be discussed. The Cincinnati Reds have apparently decided to stoke the hot-stove fires by adding closer Aroldis Chapman to their list of available talent.
