In a strange twist of fate in Texas Rangerville, outspoken franchise CEO Chuck Greenberg is on his way out of town, and disgruntled star Michael Young—he of the trade demands and vitriolic accusations aimed at team management—is apparently staying in Arlington.

Young, angered after the team had ousted him yet again from his position with the team, sounded off on Rangers' management, especially GM Jon Daniels, accusing Texas brass of misleading him and treating him unfairly.

In a move that is quite different from what Neftali Feliz said last week, he now wants to be a starter.

With the resent outing of Tommy Hunter, the Rangers could do worse in the starting rotation.

But why the new change of heart for Feliz? Seems that Feliz has added a new pitch to his already impressive set of pitches—a fast ball cutter.

Texas Rangers CEO and managing partner Chuck Greenberg was forced to resign his position in Arlington for the Texas Rangers.

As expected, Nolan Ryan wouldn’t say what really went on to cause the departure of Greenberg. However, we can all speculate.

You remember Chuck Greenberg, the Texas Rangers CEO who couldn't keep his foot out of his over-sized mouth? Remember him?

During the 26-year career of Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, he struck out 5,714 batters, a record likely to never be broken. Ryan also gave up a record 2,795 walks.

However, this time Ryan was not about to give a free pass to Texas Rangers CEO Chuck Greenberg. The Ryan Express just rolled through Arlington, TX, and Greenberg was Ryan’s latest victim.

Blessed with a solid core of dynamic hitters, talented pitchers and skilled defenders, the Texas Rangers possess an exciting, well-rounded team that will endeavor to defend their 2010 American League Championship. 

Stars like Josh Hamilton, Michael Young and Adrian Beltre have track records to give an idea of what to expect from them in 2011. If health permits, the Rangers know what type of production they will likely receive from well-established players as they seek to return to the World Series.

With the Rangers having questions in their starting rotation,  Neftali Feliz reportedly prefers the closer role.

One has to ask, why not?

While the trade rumors have dissolved and Michael Young’s trade request has gone unfulfilled, there remains a lot of uncertainty in Texas this season.

The American League West has become known as a division built around pitching. The West is home to the reigning American League Cy Young Winner, Felix Hernandez. All four teams' rotations currently rank in the top half of the American League.

The pitchers can only do so much however. The following 20 players were the top offensive contributors (key word, not necessarily the top producers) to their teams in 2010.
