Lady Gaga Stay Away From Baseball

Lady Gaga, please stay away from baseball games and don’t come back to Yankee Stadium or Citi-Field again.

Old Yankee Stadium Demolition: New Pictures of the Progress in New York

It has been a while since I last put pictures up of the old Yankee Stadium being torn down, so I thought now was as good a time as any. Especially since they have done so much over the past couple of weeks.

I must give a tip of my hat to Sliding Into Home , as Greg has kept his readers much more up to date with these pics and I simply stole these from him.

Taking In the Sights at Yankee Stadium

I love going to Yankee games. Love, love, love it.

My feeling is probably similar to how Hank Steinbrenner reacts when the Phillip Morris Convention rolls into town. Pure titillation.

So when my buddy Mark offered me a ticket to the Yankees' home opener against the Angels on Tuesday, you can guess that my schedule was quickly cleared.

Being your dutiful Yankee blogger, I felt it was my responsibility to do a couple of laps around the House That George Built and report on what I saw.

Please excuse my shoddy camera work.

Lego Yankee Stadium Makes Me Wish I Was 12 Again

Check out these photos. This is actually a year old, but a couple of blogs have been posting these pictures this week so I thought I’d do the same. The guy who built this is a lego artist Sean Kenney . It is really impressive, especially if you are a big kid like me.

MLB under the Bleachers: May 26

The '90s Nightmares

Every decade has its set of ferocious hitters that make pitchers wake up in a cold sweat.  Who were the most fearsome guys from the 1990s, though?

The Mystique of Yankee Stadium Is Gone

Today I was lucky enough to go to "The Palace that George Built," and frankly, it was so much nicer than the old one.  The wide open aisles and the many different eating establishments made it much more enjoyable than the old Yankee Stadium.

In doing all of this, the Yankees have created a truly state-of-the-art facility but, the one problem that I found is it is missing the Yankee Stadium mystique it once had across the street.

Glen Perkins Doesn't Like New Yankee Stadium

Glen Perkins is not a big fan of the new Yankee Stadium, according to the Pioneer Press. Despite being a $1.5 billion project and the subject of praise from baseball fans around the world, Perkins is not impressed.

Yankee Stadium As a Home

About two years ago, my family moved into a new house.

I like the new house. It’s bigger, it’s nicer, and it’s in a better neighborhood. It’s an obvious upgrade in just about every physical way.

Friends of mine, who have been to both, would be hard-pressed to find even a single aspect of my new house that they liked better in the old one.

But after two years, there is an emotional attachment missing that I have been unable to develop.

Curious, I began thinking: What makes a house one’s home?

Scott Boras Must See Empty New Yankee Stadium Seats in His Nightmares

"Oh [expletive]."

That's what I'd be thinking if I were a sports agent right now—more specifically, an agent representing one of Major League Baseball's forthcoming crop of free agents.

The problem might be just the same in the other major American sports, but it's baseball season, so I'm talking small ball.
