MLB All-Star Game Red-Carpet Parade 2016: Route Map, Schedule, Event Details

Prior to Tuesday's 2016 MLB All-Star Game, a red-carpet parade through the streets of San Diego will take place so fans can flock to see the biggest names in baseball in the event they aren't attending the Midsummer Classic.

Beginning at 4 p.m. ET and 1 p.m. PT, the parade will go from the Manchester Grand Hyatt hotel all the way to the game's venue and home of the Padres, Petco Park. It can be viewed through live stream on MLB.com and on TV at MLB Network.

Fan Falls from Bleachers onto Field During Braves vs. Cubs Delay

During a rain delay prior to Thursday's matchup between the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs, a fan appeared to fall from the outfield bleachers onto Wrigley Field. 

The Chicago Sun-Times' Gordon Wittenmyer posted a photo of medical personnel attending to the fan:

Aaron Hill to Red Sox: Latest Trade Details, Comments and Reaction

The Milwaukee Brewers announced Thursday they traded infielder Aaron Hill to the Boston Red Sox in exchange for prospects Wendell Rijo and Aaron Wilkerson. 

Milwaukee also sent cash to the Red Sox as part of the deal.

2016 Home Run Derby Participants: Lineup, Date, Format and More

Major League Baseball announced the participants for the 2016 Home Run Derby on Thursday, with Baltimore Orioles outfielder and leading MLB home run hitter Mark Trumbo headlining the field as the No. 1 seed.

MLB's official Twitter account released the bracket, which also features second-seeded Todd Frazier of the Chicago White Sox, who won the event last year as a member of the Cincinnati Reds:

Aledmys Diaz Replaces Matt Carpenter on 2016 NL All-Star Roster

Matt Carpenter won't be able to take part in his third All-Star Game on July 12, but the St. Louis Cardinals will send Aledmys Diaz to San Diego in his place.  

Per Jon Morosi of Fox Sports, Diaz was named to the National League squad after Carpenter went on the disabled list with an oblique injury.
