Just Another Day at the Office For Jeter

The people who say Derek Jeter is overrated must not watch Yankee games.

For the second day in a row, the Captain played an integral role in New York's win over the defending American League champion Tampa Bay Rays.

On Tuesday, the shortstop's opposite field single in the eighth got the go-ahead run to third with less than two outs.  His three-run homer in the ninth put the game out of reach.

A Look at the MLB's Batting Stances: Milwaukee Brewers

Major League Baseball has many different and unique batting stances. This series will take a look at each team's different batting stances.
The Milwaukee Brewers open up the series with an interesting lineup of stances to look at. The lineup goes as follows: Rickie Weeks, J.J. Hardy, Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, Mike Cameron, Bill Hall, Jason Kendall, and Craig Counsell.
Grab a bat and get each player's batting stance down. Before you know it, you may have the whole league memorized.

Yankees' Xavier Nady Out For Year?

According to reports, Xavier Nady's previously "Tommy John" repaired right elbow popped when making a throw against the Rays in Tuesday night's game, and the surgery may need to be re-done keeping him out the remainder of the year.

Nady is a nice player. At worst, he is a top-fourth outfielder and excellent trade bait; at best Nady is a 280/25-30/100 producing corner outfielder.

I've heard many people say that his loss is a good thing in that it will insure Nick Swisher gets an everyday job.

Pettitte Does His Job As Jeter and Cano Save the Day

Derek Jeter seems to be enjoying the lead off spot this season thus far.

He knocked in Cody Ransom on a huge go-ahead RBI single with two outs in the ninth inning off of Rays closer, Troy Percival.

Andy Pettitte pitched into the eighth inning, but handed the ball over to Brian Bruney who got the win as Pettitte left in a tied game.

Mariano Rivera, the only player who wears No. 42, closed the game out for his second save of the season as the Yankees won, 3-2.

Giants Need To Start Winning Now

The Giants have a 2-5 record going into tonight's game against the Dodgers.

Granted, it's early in the season, but for a team like the Giants, they need to start picking up the pace, and win ballgames.

The Giants have had the problem for a few years about going young, and it seemed like the ownership shy-ed away from that for some reason.

Yes, it was difficult to go young right away, after all the team's center piece for many years was Barry Bonds (the home run king).

47 Years Of Amazin': Mets Look To Add New Chapter

BY MICHAEL GANCI
EDITOR

April 12 marked the 47 year anniversary of the first game the Mets ever played when the team was established back in 1962. Back then, they were a work in progress, losing more games than ever before. It looked like the team would be a cellar-dweller for years and years to come, but in their eighth season as a franchise, the club pulled off a miracle that nobody will soon forget. Led by the likes of Tom Seaver and Jerry Koosman, the miracle Mets won their first world championship in franchise history.

No Need For Giants' Fans To Panic Yet

The Giants have started off slow, and fans in the Bay Area are already worried and giving up on the season.

But they should not give up just yet.

Pitching Is Harder Than Hitting

This hoopla surrounding Greg Paulus is starting to get out of hand. For one, I don’t even understand how he can have college eligibility remaining. But that’s not even the point.

Top 10 MLB Stadiums made since 2000

Do you remember the first time that you ever went to a baseball game? When you walked into the stadium, and saw that emerald green grass and the beautiful blue sky? Was it at the old Yankee Stadium or Wrigley Field? Could it have been in Fenway Park or Crosby Field? One thing that is for sure, baseball stadiums over the last twenty or so years have made many beautiful stadiums, most of which take famous features from old stadiums, and blend it into the team culture that is at the new stadium?
