The Major League Baseball winter meetings in Nashville, Tennessee, are in full swing as rumors and speculation swirl around countless players and teams looking to make a change. 

While some wheeling and dealing has already been done in a few notable deals, some of the biggest names in the game have become available on the trading block. Let's take a look at the latest on some of baseball's hottest trade rumors. 

The 2015 Major League Baseball Rule 5 draft, being held Thursday at the winter meetings in Nashville, Tennessee, is not likely to churn out a future superstar or MVP candidate, but there are always diamonds found in the rough from the minor league scrapheap.   

The New York Yankees have taken a second base situation that impressed nobody and have addressed it with a trade that doesn't seem to be satisfying everybody.

But if you're among those who are on the fence, rest assured. The Yankees have had worse ideas.

They could have kept the money and they could have kept the prospects, and then nobody would have called the Arizona Diamondbacks crazy.

Nobody would have called them winners, either.

The Starlin Castro era is over in Chicago, after the Cubs traded the shortstop/second baseman to the New York Yankees on Tuesday night.

Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reported the Yankees will send infielder Brendan Ryan and pitcher Adam Warren to Chicago in return for Castro.

The Atlanta Braves continue to make the long-term future their focus after trading Shelby Miller and Gabe Speier to the Arizona Diamondbacks for 2015 No. 1 overall pick Dansby Swanson, outfielder Ender Inciarte and pitching prospect Aaron Blair. 

The young, upstart Chicago Cubs have gotten a little longer in the tooth this offseason—and that's a good thing.

After just one season with the Atlanta Braves, starting pitcher Shelby Miller is on the move once again, as the team traded the right-hander to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday, according to Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal. 

The Chicago Cubs nabbed utility man Ben Zobrist on a four-year, $56 million deal Tuesday, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, and they wasted no time finding a taker for infielder Starlin Castro once that deal was finalized.
