The most recent interruption that had the media criticizing a single man in baseball was when Alex Rodriguez had a Kanye-like moment in the 2007 World Series. That year, he decided to announce to the world that he would be opting out of his contract with the New York Yankees to pursue a more luxurious one. 

Last December, my little nephew had a speech impediment and a very specific list. A total boy and a Toy Story fan since birth, he spouted his Christmas wish as only he could:

“I want a big fruck an’ Woody.”

Okay, maybe that’s not funny.

The 2009 New York Yankees are a scary team to face. Just ask any team that was included in their 103 wins. Now imagine the New York Yankees as horror movie villains. It is a scary thought but this presentation will give you a better idea who best resembles who.

So, we tasted the agony of defeat.

Well, it's finally over.

After 171 grueling regular and postseason games, after all of the ups and downs, tragedies and triumphs, the Los Angels Angels of Anaheim are getting a preemptive jump on the offseason.

It's not the Angels' fault, per say. I cringe to even think it, but though the differences were minor, the New York Yankees were simply the better team, throughout both the regular season and the American League Championship Series.

Not only does Cliff Lee compLEEte me, he pulled another compLEEte game out of his hat. His domination of the team with the best record in the majors, the most home runs, and the highest payroll was something out of a storybook.

Hey, they should act that out on Broadway.

Wait, they are.

Tonight, while watching two of my least-favorite teams bid for a World Series title, I realized how much I have truly hated the past four Octobers.

This year especially.

I have no rooting interest.

No care about the next pitch.

And complete apathy about who will be drinking champagne within the next week-and-a-half to two weeks.

It truly sucks. It's not like it's new for me. As I said, it's been like this for the '06, '07, '08, and now the '09 postseason.

But, this year seems a lot worse.
